Jeff Switzer M.S. Audiologist

Jeffrey Switzer is currently a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA).

He has extensive experience in all facets of the hearing healthcare field. He graduated from Minot State University in North Dakota with a master of science degree in audiology. He began his work experience in a very busy private practice hearing instrument clinic in British Columbia. Here, he gained extensive knowledge of the variety of issues faced by not only those with hearing loss but also their family and friends. He also honed his technical fitting skills during the dawn of digital hearing instruments. He likes to express these skills as the “art and science of Audiology”. With his desire to learn every aspect of the hearing healthcare field he accepted a position with a major hearing instrument manufacturer as a territory manager.

With this position he traveled extensively in North America allowing him to be exposed to the best and worst services for this field. A position with a second manufacturer taught him that not all hearing instruments are created equally and each product has its own unique characteristics and advantages; critical knowledge when it comes to providing service to the end-user. Jeffrey delivered many seminars on hearing loss and hearing instrument technology to his colleagues during his time on the manufacturing side of the business. He also assisted in countless hearing instrument fittings and follow-ups with a great number of his fellow hearing professionals. In addition to his intensive schedule while on the manufacturing side of the business, he also found the time to teach hearing instrument technology at George Brown College in Toronto.

Jeffrey now owns and operates Global Hearing Aid Clinic in Toronto. GHAC is where he combines his extensive knowledge of people with hearing loss and their needs (“the art”) with his equally extensive knowledge of hearing instruments (“the science”).
