About this Type:

With a comfortable, open-fit design that’s perfect for almost all types of hearing loss, AGX Hearing’s Receiver-in-the-Canal (RIC) devices make better hearing a breeze. The microphone, amplifier and speech processor are located in the shell of an RIC which sits on the ear. It is coupled with a very thin wire to a receiver (aka speaker) which sits in the canal coupled by a soft pliable silicone dome. If needed the dome can be quite open allowing natural hearing for those frequencies within the normal range and amplifying only in the areas of deficit. Alternatively, the dome can be more closed or even doubled up to increase the power (especially in the lower frequencies) when needed. Open fittings are more comfortable, provide more natural sound quality and are very feedback resistant.

Although RIC devices sit behind the ear, the small, sleek design means that they’re barely visible when worn, and they help provide clear, confident communication. With AGX Hearing’s RIC devices, hearing is as natural and effortless as possible.
